I love this time of the year <3
Changed a few things around a bit with the page. I think it looks alright. I need to add/change my link section though.
This made me laugh:

life is good <3
Hi all. I’m sitting here on the couch at our condo at Atlantic Beach. A vacation was a good idea. Besides the weekend trip to Atlanta and a few trips to my grandparents, this is the first time all year I’ve actually took a few days off from work. I think they are surviving without me, I didn’t receive a phone call Monday asking me questions.
Its been good here the last few days. In the mid 80s intead of the upper 90s like the rest of the state. It has been sunny and clear up until today. Its been dark all day, but the rain didn’t move in until mid afternoon. Its been nice to sit on the beach, read, and play in the ocean and pool. Classes start a week from today. Not fun, but hopefully the class will be cool and not too much work. Its kinda strange that I can’t find anything to watch on TV… my mom is here beside me reading and father is in a bedroom sleeping, something he does very well while watching tv. Is family fued worth watching… no, I don’t think so.
Time to continue to lounge around and do nothing
Looks like the rainy weather is going to stick around through Friday so we’ll be shopping and might go see a movie or something to kill the time. bye all <3
Hi world, I’m still kickin. It’s been what, two months since I’ve last updated. Go me
A lot has happened, but nothing life changing. This is the busiest time of the year at work. Congress is next week. Yay Congress! Not sure if I’ve shared this information yet, but Brad and I have been playing in our own tennis tournament. We keep score by who wins the set. Currently, he leads me 13-15. I can’t believe he won today, but oh well. Its called the Fat Daddy’s Cup in honor of the greatest post tennis meal of all time. At the end of the summer, the loser buys the winner dinner and ice cream at Fat Daddy’s. Can’t wait!
My family is at the beach this week on our yearly vacation. I wish I was there, lol. Its funny, with this job I don’t really have a relaxing summer like other people might. Summer is the busiest time of the year, but its worth it. I have recently been introduced to all that is farm town, an application on facebook. It’s pretty neat. You build your own farm, can grow and buy different crops, buildings, and structures.
Hmmm, I just had a deja vu moment. And I just let the moment decide weather or not I was going to write about it in this post. Weird. Funny how our brains work, it probably just remembered this being familiar and somehow I related it to something in the past or maybe they are real experiences that I’ve done before. What if we live the same life over and over and over and over. What if there are other people in the past and future living their lives over and over in there present. It really doesn’t matter, but still fun to think about. I’m warm…. what’s my AC set to…. alright, clicked it on. Frank is singing to me, he sings a lot when my music is on random. Dang, haven’t heard this song in a while… do you every feel like breaking down? No, not really, unless something terrible happened. I think I have a very good life. Of course it could be better, but unfortunately, I’m pretty content with things. Dang, it’s 9:28 and I’m ready to go to bed, lol. 25 is old…. my wheat is at 85%. It will be done tomorrow. I’ll get Buddy or Mary to harvest it.
I wonder how the Home Run Derby is going… I watched the first few hitters. My feet itch… still peeling. I got burnt some last weekend in Atlanta. It was fun though.
Ok, I think I’ve rambled enough. Time for beauty rest. <3
So, I just finished watching the season finales of Grey’s and Lost. This goes out to the producers: F you for making me wait until September. Lost wasn’t that bad, it will be exciting to see where they take it. I think next season is the last season though… either next year or the one after that. I didn’t quite see what happened on Grey’s coming. Granted, nothing is for sure, but it kind of appears like it. And if you followed the news from a couple months ago saying certain people might not be back, but I guess we all will have to wait and see.
Hmmm, when was the last time I posted…. end of April. Since then I’ve gone back to see my sister and her family, I’ve worked a lot, met a few new people, caught up with friends from high school, and have generally been having a good time. The Hurricanes have been doing well in the playoffs. For fore nights a week for the last few weeks my time has been devoted to watching them play. Hopefully they can keep up the good work and beat Pittsburgh to make it to the Stanley Cup finals. Brad and I have also started to play tennis more. Exercise is good. Staying up late during the week for the last couple of weeks has been a drainer, but its well worth it. The last episode of Grey’s drove the point home that people need to take advantage of the time they are given and not to take things for granted.
I am concerned about the state of NC’s budget though. We have to come up with 5 billion dollars out of next year’s budget? That’s like a 1/4 of the budget. State employee’s are going to get hit hard. Rumors are 20 – 35 days of furlough and 5 – 20% salary reduction. The old saying of a job is better than no job is true I guess, just as long as it pays the bills. The next 2 or 3 years should be interesting times as a state worker.
If you haven’t seen Star Trek, go check it out. I enjoyed it better than Wolverine. I’d like to see Terminator, which opens next weekend. Ok, I’ll stop rambling. I need to go to bed so I can wake up to go to church in the morning. I’ll check back in in a couple of days (or weeks).

Hi internet world. Just giving a quick update.
Last Thursday was the 4-H Lifetime Achievement Awards banquet. It took place the Embassy Suites in Concord and they did a very good job with the event. We helped raise over $180,000 for 4-H, a very good number considering the economy. We are fortunate to have good partnerships, both personal and business. Since the hotel is only a few miles from my sister’s house, it made sense to just visit and stay the weekend. Aiden is doing well. He’s around 4 months old, weights between 9 and 10 lbs, still has digestive issues, but other than that, he is doing well. After being born 3 months early and the only thing not working “right” is his stomach/intestines, he’s doing pretty good. He just goes through phases where he can’t get comfortable and cyring is the only form of communication he knows, so he is a little cry baby most of the time. Normally he lets out a big burp or farts like an adult, then all is well and he smiles or goes back to sleep. He is such a handsome little guy and he is starting to learn the difference between night a day. He does good during the day (doesn’t sleep as much) and he sleeps a good bit during the night. For a while he was on a schedule where he would wake up every 3 to 4 hours, he has had a few nights though where he sleeps for 6 to 8 hours straight.
Anyway, I was with my sister, brother-in-law, Aiden, and my mother all weekend. Frank and I were actually able to get some golf in, so that was nice. My sister was able to disappear for a while and go shopping, so I’m sure she really enjoyed that. It takes a lot to give up parts of yourself and all your time to raise a child, but I guess that is what it takes. Sunday at lunch was a family reunion, the Bailey side of the family. It’s on my mom’s side and there is also a connection on my dad’s. It was a good turn out, around 30, so it was nice to see people you don’t see that often.
This is the last week of class. Yay
. I have a final Thursday night, then I’m done until August. It’s weird that it’s already summer time and it feels like it. It’s been in the 80’s since last week and will last through the weekend. The Hurricanes play game 7 tonight in the first round of the playoffs. It would be nice if they won, but it’s really a toss up game. New Jersey has played well all series, except Sunday night when the Canes won 4-0. Should be a good game.
I’m whoring it out on twitter. It’s so weird to be able to follow famous people and it’s actually them. I found Miley Cyrus before Buddy did and he is like obsessed with her. She’s in Spain, premiering her movie. We are best friends.
Anyway, I’m all over some twitter now. Follow me, I’m cool:
In other news, the Hurricanes had a great vicotry tonight. It was a close one, but a win is a win. Now they just need to win 2 of the next 3 to advance to the next round. Of course, I chose to watch the hockey game instead of homework, but I’ll get it finished tomorrow. I’ll be in Concord Thursday night for the 4-H Lifetime Achievement Awards. I’ll spend the weekend with my sister, then head up to the farm for a family reunion on my mother’s side (and father’s if you go back far enough and over a few branches).
Night all <3
Also, Miss California and Parez Hilton need to shut up, they are stealing the thunder from Miss North Carolina, the 2009 Miss USA winner.
This has been going around the last week or so, but it’s pretty neat.
Hi internet. As has become a theme recently, it’s been a little while since I’ve posted much. I find that posting between twitter and facebook is enough to keep people informed about my daily happenings. In my mind, this venue has more or less become a place to post pictures or other interesting things I’ve found on the internets.
A life update is that I am going to Vegas in September.
I have flights and a hotel, and it has not cost me anything yet! My parents transferred a week of timeshare and I had a free ticket voucher from a flight last year that I was bumped off. Pretty good deal, just to wait a few extra hours.
I had lunch here today, and let me tell you, it was pretty dang good.
